National Advocacy Campaign for the Right to Information
A project jointly implemented by the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA) and the British Council, Sri Lanka, the National Advocacy Campaign for the Right to Information seeks to engender a wider awareness of the importance of information in governance and democracy for target groups and communities across the entire island.
The first two workshops in this series were conducted in March 2002. One the 28th of March 2003, a workshop for journalists was conducted in Colombo. On the 31st of March 2003, a similar workshop for journalists was conducted in Vavuniya. Both training sessions were conducted in Sinhala and Tamil.
