Emphatically not! This is completely false.
thank you for your article on the legal frame work of curfew imposed during COVID 19- pandemic,
it was very informative and very clear,
i found a provision in the public securities ordinance as well as the constitution that states, it is not mandatory to convene the parliament. Even if the parliament cannot be convened, the emergency regulations are still valid. i.e section 155(6) 155(9) of the constitution. Section 2(3) and section 4 of the public securities ordinance. Please clarify. The publication named parliamentary practice in sri lanaka by Ms Priyani Wijesekara , published by the parliament it self states that according to article 155(6) of the constitution that it is not mandatory to convene the parliament have emergency continued as the Parliament is disolved ? once again thank you for your time
