A group of civil society organisations visited Vavuniya on September 11-12 to discuss key human rights and humanitarian issues in Vavuniya and the Vanni. The team met with various actors including Government, INGOs based in Vavuniya and those that had relocated from the Vanni, local NGOs, religious leaders and other civil soceity representatives, local and displaced community members. The team included representatives from the Centre for Policy Alternatives, theWomen and Media Collective and other civil society groups.
